WHAT TO PRACTICE
Let’s take a look at the steps needed for good hand washing to keep our bodies safe and healthy. First, color in the sheet while you read the steps. Then, practice doing hand washing step by step with a grown up or family member. Teach a younger sibling too! Think about all the times that you might need to wash your hands.

NOTE TO GROWN UPS
Put the sheets up near a sink that you use regularly for handwashing. Make multiple posters for different parts of the house as needed.

Vamos a ver los pasos necesarios para una buena lavada de manos y así mantener nuestros cuerpos sanos y salvos. Primero, colorea en la hoja de dibujos mientras lees los pasos. Luego practica lavándote las manos paso a paso con un adulto o algún miembro de tu familia. ¡Si tienes un hermano menor, enséñale también! Piensa en todas las ocasiones en las cuales puedas necesitar lavarte las manos.

Nota para adultos

  • Spanish and English vocabulary for objects found at home with a memory game
NOTE TO GROWN UPS

You can also use the memory game squares as labels or vocabulary flash cards. Make another fun vocabulary game out of this activity by asking children to hunt for objects around the house. “Can you find the chair? ¿Dónde está la silla?”

NOTE TO GROWN UPS
Teaching little ones to clean takes time and effort, and it’s important to start at a young age (3 or 4).  With toddlers, have them help with cleaning if they aren’t able to do a whole task (e.g. sort socks). For all children, it is important to gradually release responsibility. Start with one task they can do independently and increase expectations from there.
